My First Hitchhike. Part II.

We didn’t have to wait for hours to hitch a lift. After about 15 minutes a truck has stopped. A man has looked down at us through the window, rolled it down and ask were we’re going. And we responded nicely – down to the south. And he was like – ok, get in, I’m goin’ the same direction so I can give you a lift. That was so easy…

After about 4 hours we’ve been to Montu Sibylline. And I was the happiest person in the world! For so long time I was longing to see those beautiful places that I have never had any opportunity to visit. And the my dreams seem to came true! Oh, they did! Well, we got out in Fiastra – little but pretty busy town, only in the morning because in the early afternoon the whole town just withers.

Sometime you can just walk across the whole town and not meet a person! Really, especially when it is the time of siesta. We decided to stay in Fiastra 2 days and move to Marche. Marche is quite near Pievebovigliany. Then we moved to Castellucio – beautiful island located in the most charming place I have ever visited.

I've captured a lot of breathtaking views like this one.

Castellucio is placed at the heart of the Sibylline Mountains. I am a big fan of old architecture so I found it awesome visiting Visso. This medium-size town is full of antique and how fabulous bigger and smaller houses. In the city centre you will find an antique church from XVth century. It is a wonderful example of classical Roman architecture. And unquestionably it is a must see while visiting Monti Sibylline. Obviously, we travelled between the villages hitching a lift. That was my first time hitchhiking and I must admit it was the easiest time I was travelling like this.

Italians are very friendly and helpful people and and what important they are very trusting so they are not scared to stop and give a lift to some strangers. This is what I love Italians the most for.

But there were also less charming places like old, abandoned settlement.
